Bugs and glitches in css map ports (_p)

Some players know how rules of p is greatly affiliated with mapeadores and how maps are made for these settings but that is only the beginning. I’m disgruntled to see nobody made a thread about the glitches and bugs in some of those maps.

ze_FFVII_Mako_Reactor_p8: Uses a vmf from an earlier version (which was fine at the time released when csgo ze didn’t have much maps but feels a bit obsolete now). Items are still spammable (unknown if the mapper wanted to keep when its possible to do leveling and filtering thanks to paramina rift). I suggest get the v5_3 vmf while keeping the leveling system and fixing all the nasty bugs.

ze_christmas_infection_p: Map is stable.

ze_cyberderp_p3: Unknown if this is stable or not. I heard reports from other servers about the map being unplayable but they may be false. If anyone can state if the map is stable, then good.

ze_paper_escaper_p7: Map is stable from what I saw.

ze_Parking_p4: Glitched ending. Cts can advance if they make it to final hold (exception being ex3 where losing at the final hold starts the map over to normal 1). Only reason to hold the final hold is to get weapons. I myself think this is a map bug and this wasn’t existent in an earlier version (v2a). Only suggestion I have is to randomize weapon spawns and fixing the endings meaning if cts lose at the final hold, the level won’t advance.

ze_predator_ultimate_p7: Map is stable (actually the most stable out of all the ports). May need a slight nerf on the hyper pred (32 --> 30 to interupt attack). An update like that won’t come till later.

ze_toaster_p3: Map is stable.

ze_UT2004_Convoy_p2: Major lag at the fire tanker part. Boss hp is too high for csgo standards (because bullets only deal 1 instead of 2 in css) hence why the map is impossible even with negevs.

All maps with items: Aiming with items has been unresponsive ever since the new animation update from 2015. There has been a workaround (or two) but that will depend on which type of item is used. This will mean every map will have to be updated.

Pistol items and zombie knife items: An aiming script by Luffaren is in the works to counter unresponsive aiming (as well as the ability to aim up/down in some cases). This will work even with new animation skins (also hinted santassination v4 is in the works too).

Knife items that are supposed to turn the player invisible: There exists an invisible playermodel with only one bone on the old animations. Not only will the skins/items like on minas and skyrim will be smooth but the player will no longer be visible again.

If someone can sticky this thread, it’d be nice.

Luff made some great scripts that can solve some of the problems reported: -an anti-spamming system for items, locking the ability to use items only for the picking player. Easy to implement. -an invisible ct/zombie skin when you’re wearing special skins.

  • a real-time, bone parented item mover, that also allow to vertically aim if specified.

BTW, he will release them when he will finish some other scripts. He prefers to release all of this as a pack for mappers/porters, than independently.

About the maps: -i still prefer mako p8 than v5_x… The only drawback is the spamming possibility. Sometimes you’re rushing buttons and try to activate them when a player with an item just arrives at same time… -Cyberderp is stable -For me, Pred is ok as it. And if something need to be nerfed, it’s the alien. About all other maps, they’re stable as you said, or i didn’t see the problems you reported (i never reached the UT Convoy boss jajaja).
