I’ve been trying to find a way to deal with pass-through queries, more for buttons than shooting. Although it isn’t directly what this thread is about, I started digging when people rightly complained about hidden players still blocking the inputs. Sadly, I haven’t found a viable solution yet–which sucks because being able to press buttons irrespective of who is in the way would be a lifesaver in some maps. If I figure it out, I’ll post here to see how we implement it, since it would probably have second order effects going along–certain maps actually favor being able to block other players to avoid puzzle button spam and whatnot…
I used to think that you still do some reduced damage when shooting through your teammates. But recently, while playing on a server with a damage indicator, I don’t see any damage dealt at all when there’s a teammate in my way. I’ve also been impressed how much longer it takes to kill the first mini-boss on ze_diddle (from The Ordiaxer’s level), if everybody stacks on it and blocks each other.
I’ve noticed that the plugin now keeps its settings between sessions. Thank you very much!
